CBSE 12th Board 2021: Students failing in 1 or 2 subjects will have the option of the compartment, failing in more subjects will have to repeat the whole year
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday has decided the marking scheme to decide the 12th result. According to the criteria set by the board, this year 12th result will be released on the basis of 10th, 11th and 12th marks. For this, marking will be done by the formula of 30:30:40.
If you fail, you will have to repeat the year.
Giving information about the result prepared by the marking scheme, the board said that the students who will not be able to obtain the passing marks on the preparation of the result will be placed in the category of “essential repeat” or “compartment”. In the compartment category, such students will be kept, who will fail in 1 or 2 subjects. Whereas students failing in more subjects will have to repeat the whole year.
Students will have two options
Such students will have two options in front of them. Firstly, they can improve their score by appearing in the compartmental exam. On the basis of this their result will be decided. At the same time, under the second option, students can also send applications to their school for the 12th board examinations. The examination will be conducted for these students when the situation becomes normal.
Students not happy with marking scheme
Here, since the release of the marking scheme for class 12, students and teachers are feeling dissatisfied with it. In fact, students and teachers believe that by giving more weightage to the 11th marks, it is possible that due to less number in 11th, the marks in the 12th mark sheet will be less. In such a situation, many students believe that in the marking formula, the number of 11th should have been given less weightage.
The result will be released by 31st July
Describing the marking formula in the Supreme Court, the board said that the 12th results will be released by July 31. CBSE has instructed all schools to upload class 12th marks by June 28. The board will prepare the mark sheet of all the students and upload it on the official online portal on July 31.
